June Recap

We've had a great June so far.  Of course, we celebrated all the wonderful fathers we have.  Peepaw came over for lunch with us and Ashley, Heath and Baby Gabe.  Lots of babies to play with!

Grandpa came over for dinner and took Caleb for a walk in the woods.  Look what they brought home for Mommy...
All five of us hit the road to visit with Tony's dad for Father's Day where we enjoyed some of the best burgers and lots of playtime and snuggles with family.  We're making progress - there was only a brief period of crying during the drive!
We're so thankful for all the fathers in our life.  Our boys have some big shoes to fill!
All of our babies continue to grow and astound us.  Caleb is diligently working on writing his letters (and even reading some words!).  Wren and Judson can sit up and are getting close to crawling.
Caleb loves to help Mommy with her flowers.
We're finally feeling brave enough to eat out at a restaurant with all of our children (and no additional helpers).  Since the babies can sit up on their own, we can put them in highchairs, and Caleb will (mostly) behave himself.  We order just about as soon as we sit down, and we make multiple trips to the bathroom.  We scarf down the food as soon as it arrives at our table, and we apologize profusely to the wait staff as we leave because of all the puffs laying on the floor under the highchairs.  We tend to frequent places such as IHOP and Steak and Shake - places that are not too crowded around 5:00 and whose clientele will not likely mind our noisy bunch.  It's not glamorous.  It's not gourmet.  But it gets us out of the house (and lets Mommy have a night off from cooking - and cleaning up the mess).

Caleb recently took a trip to the lake with Ra Ra, followed by a trip to Dairy Queen, of course.
He's ready for some more summer fun!

May Daze

May has always been my favorite month.  Warm, sunny weather.  Birthday parties.  Graduations.  Weddings.  This May was no exception.  We've been quite busy!

Caleb spent a day with Ra Ra and Grandpa, including a trip to Cabella's...
 a fire station...
and his first trip to Krystal.
We've been having lots of bath time fun lately.
Wren's become quite the roller.  She rarely stays where you put her down.  No one is crawling yet, but I have a feeling it's coming soon.
Caleb still likes to roll around on the floor too every now and then (in his underwear and Mom's socks).
The babies were serenaded by their buddy John Caden.
The biggest event of the month was the birth of my little nephew Matthew Gabriel (Gabe) on May 8, which also happened to be Mother's Day.  I spent the day in the hospital with my sister Ashley while she was in labor.
After laboring all day, it was determined that she needed a c-section.  Here's our mom getting her all ready to meet her baby boy.
And here's Heath getting all suited up.  (Sorry Heath, I couldn't resist...)
Just a short time later, and Gabe was here!  He and Ashley did great.  And here he is!  Isn't he precious?
The following week, we all went to visit Heath, Ashley and Gabe.  Jennifer Aniston even dropped by to see Gabe. :)
There were plenty of babies to go around!
Logan had a lot of fun with his cousins.

Gabe was even awake for a little while to meet his cousins.  They're going to have so much fun together!
Caleb also turned 3 this month, and we went to Steak-n-Shake to celebrate on his actual birthday.
The following weekend, he had a blast at his birthday party.
One word sums up the event:  lollipops.  Many lollipops were had by all (especially the birthday boy himself).
For some reason, this was also the year that Caleb became afraid of candles.  We had practiced blowing the candles out on his cake for weeks, but, despite his best efforts to overcome this fear, Mommy had to blow the candles out for him.  We're already practicing for next year though.
He loves playing with his new toys.
Wren and Judson were  baptized on May 29.  This was how the baptism was announced in an email to our church congregation:

"This Sunday we are privileged to witness the baptisms of Judson and Wren Argo. Alicia and Tony deeply desire for both of them to one day put off their old selves through the death and cleansing blood of Christ and put on their new selves to be renewed in the knowledge of the image of their Creator in the resurrection of Christ. This powerful possibility will be signified in their baptisms which will serve as a means of grace as they are reminded of these sure promises in Christ as they grow older and are called to respond in faith. Our church, as the Argo family’s covenant community, will have the opportunity to participate in teaching and reminding Judson and Wren of the finished work of Christ alone to be applied to them by grace alone through faith alone and in encouraging Alicia and Tony as parents."

We pray that all of these little ones over which we have been given stewardship will not remember a day when they did not know Jesus and that we would be able to point them towards Him with each passing day.

What a month full of special and momentous occasions!
