Two Times the Two-Year-Old Fun

I know the time really just flew by for those of you not actively involved in the wildness that having twins brings, but, man, the twins just turned TWO!  My babies are no longer babies...I guess we'll have to come up with another collective name for them.  We all had the best time celebrating these precious gifts to our family.
We started the day by making pumpkin cupcakes.  Wren helped with the, er, clean up.

 My girl loves to eat!
The real fun started once everyone arrived for the party.

They curiously watched as we all sang to them, and then smiled and clapped once the singing was finished.  They even tried to blow out the candles, though they needed a little help from big brother.

Checking out the video of us all singing Happy Birthday.

Riding their new dinosaur and elephant...

One of Wren's favorite gifts was a Minnie Mouse doll that walks her dog, "Snow Puff."  She now takes it everywhere and treats it like her baby.  She loves her "Min Mouse," as she says.

What a great birthday celebration!  Thanks to everyone for making the day so special!

Punkin Spice

This past weekend we took advantage of Pike Nursery's "all-you-can-carry pumpkin" deal.  All the pumpkins you could carry for $19.99!  What a deal for pumpkins...or as all our kids say, "punkins."  So we loaded Tony up!
He successfully carried all 8 of our pumpkins out to the van - without dropping even one!
Back at home, all our kids really enjoyed arranging and rearranging their newly acquired punkins.

While I planted our new pansies, Caleb took advantage of my unattended phone to take some artistic photography.

Now our house is bedecked with all our punkins and our fall pansies (while my phone is full of a myriad of Caleb's finger selfies).  I'd say we're ready for fall!

Fun Times

We've been busy lately.  Birthday parties, blues concerts, mariachi band dinners, playing hide-and-seek in the cabinets.  Here's what we have to show for the past few weeks:
Melt my heart.  I just love this picture of Caleb.  We love to go to the local Mexican restaurant on Thursday nights to hear the Mariachi band play.  I'm sure they can play much more complicated songs than Old McDonald and The Wheels on the Bus, but my crew love these!

My boys sure do love to go to Catch Air.  It was all we could do to keep track of everyone while we were recently there for a birthday party.  There was a short span of time where I was hunched over frantically searching the labyrinth of tunnels for Judson.  Twenty minutes later, I found him at the top of the big slide on the other side of the enormous room.  He was just waiting there (for who knows how long) for someone to escort him down the slide.
They also boogied down on the dance floor.  Where ever do they get such great dance moves?
The following weekend we had yet another fun birthday party...this time at a kids' art studio.

I don't know if any of them are budding artists, but they sure did have fun.
That night, Caleb and I accompanied RaRa to one of Grandpa's concerts.  Caleb was mesmerized, and couldn't wait until he could go on stage to play an instrument.  I had to explain to him that we needed to wait until he was a little older (and had at least a few musical lessons under his belt) before he could put on a show for a crowd of thousands.

When we weren't at parties or concerts or Mexican restaurants, we've been having a grand old time playing with each other at home.  Daddy built a miniature house out of cardboard boxes...

...which Mommy and Daddy found much more interesting than the kids, for some reason.
I guess the cardboard box house just can't compare to the kitchen cabinets.
