Spring in Full Swing

We love springtime at our house.  And what's not to love about it?  New blooms on trees, cool mornings, warm afternoons, flowers, birds, butterflies, and spring showers.  We try to take full advantage of it by spending as much time as we can outside during those few weeks before it gets too hot!
This past Sunday we spent Easter mostly outside relishing Spring and the company of our family as we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus.

This Spring Wren has also started demanding that her outfits and hairstyle match the princess that she desires to be for that day.  I thought it was pretty creative of her to come up with this one...

She's Princess Leia!  Not your traditional princess, but a princess nonetheless...
Her hair will stay like this until she decides that she wants to be Alice from Alice in Wonderland instead (who, of course, does not wear two buns in her hair, meaning that the buns must come out - immediately).
Caleb is still sporting a light saber of some sort everywhere he goes...
We've also already played in the sprinklers once!

Here's to more of those Spring days that we love!

Wild Animal Safari

This past week was Spring Break, and we took a day to visit Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, Georgia.  And what a great day it was!  The kids had so much fun seeing (and sometimes feeding) the giraffes, zebras, buffalo, pigs, a sundry of other bovines, peacocks, alligators, lions, tigers, bears, monkeys, turtles, and more!...Well, mostly - one of them (Wren) was a bit frightened by the giraffe named "Too Tall" sticking his greedy little head into the bus windows to search for food.  But other than that, it was a hit and a great way to spend time with family!
I could see where this could be a bit frightening to a three-year-old.
