Sweet Success

As you could tell from the last post, potty training had us a little stressed out in our house as recently as a few weeks ago.
I am now happy to report that Wren has seemed to turn the corner.  It may have been my more relaxed approach, or it may have been just the natural course of time.  A friend of mine also recommended getting an activity lap desk, which was really genius, and I think it had a lot to do with it.  From day one with our little lap desk, she has been successful at pooping in the potty - with no drama!  When she says she has to go, we take her to the potty, position the little desk across her legs, and leave her to her business.  It's so cute when I come in to check on her, and if she's not ready yet, she'll say, "Need pwivacy."  Plus, we end up with beautiful artwork like this:
Wren also may end up with some lovely temporary tattoos on her hands and legs from the markers.
It really is quite miraculous that all of the craziness we were dealing with just dissipated upon the arrival of this lap desk.  Coincidence?  Perhaps, but it's definitely an answer to prayer!
We're so proud of our girl, and she is certainly proud of herself.

She still demands vanilla ice cream after each poop in the potty, but hopefully she'll get over that before she goes off to college.  If not, that's a small price to pay!
Judson is doing a stellar job too.  No children in diapers!  I feel like we've arrived...at least until the next impossible parental hurdle pops up.
